Moms! See How to Take Time for You this May with Mom Break 30

Hey, Readers!

Being a mother can be tough at times. We are having to keep tabs on the schedules of your whole family, getting kids off to school on time, putting together meals that everyone will enjoy. Oh, and don’t forget about keeping the house clean! With all of these items on your laundry list of tasks to do for your family, when is there time for you? Mom Break is all about helping moms to know that they are not alone in motherhood and to talk about the real life issues that we face every day.

Erica Fraser, the creator of Mom Break, brought to life this online forum for moms. She wanted to normalize the craziness that is associated with motherhood and to show moms ways how to give themselves both a physical and mental break every day.

For the month of May, Mom Break has put together Mom Break 30. It is a series of workout videos created by the trainers at Iron North Studio, a fitness studio in Ottawa. Each of these videos lasts about minutes and is designed to fit into a mom’s busy schedule. Here is what is so fabulous about this series of videos:

  • No special equipment is needed
  • Each workout can be done at any fitness level
  • Detailed explanations of each movement is given throughout the video

This is great because it means that you can jump right into workout mode without having to lug weights around and store equipment around your home. If you are starting to work out, you can begin at a lower level and work your way to a more challenging level as you progress throughout the month. Finally, by having each move explained, you are sure to perform each one with good form. But wait a minute! Doesn’t May have 31 days? Yes, it does! Mom Break is leaving this day as a well-deserved day of rest for you!

Now you know what they say about all work and no play? Mom Break wants to reward those who take part of these 30 days of workouts. Every day in May, Mom Break has pulled together some amazing prizes provided by companies across Canada. How do you get in on winning these prizes? Each day, there will be a different page for each workout. On each workout page there will be a form for the corresponding giveaway. All you have to do is fill out that particular form to have a chance to win! Take a look here to see the prizes available to be won!

Take a look at Erica sharing a bit more about the Mom Break 30 Day Fitness Challenge:

I am really excited about the Mom Break 30 Day Fitness Challenge. It is hard to stay on track with a fitness routine along with everything else I have going on in a day, so to be able to have this challenge to keep me on track for 30 days is amazing! Oh, and the chance to win one of the fabulous prizes is a great incentive to pop in every day, too.
