Clean and Nourish Skin with Beautycounter

Disclaimer: I received products from Beautycounter in order to conduct this review. The views I shared are my own.

Hey Readers!

Beauty products. Aren’t we all on the hunt for ones that get the job done? I know I always am. My skin is what I would like to affectionately call “testy.” It is not delicate per se, but it can react to certain products that have harsh chemicals. I also need products that moisturize for longer than a few hours without feeling greasy or tacky. I was asked by Beautycounter, a chemical-conscience beauty company, to try products from their Nourishing Collection to see if they would help clean and nourish my skin without feeling any irritating effects.

Beautycounter’s mission is simple: To share safer beauty products for people to use. Many nations have been taking a stand against certain chemicals being used in the formulas of personal care products that can be harmful when used on skin. Beautycounter has cut out over 1 500 chemicals that have been deemed questionable or harmful from their products.  They want to make sure their products are safe to use on skin while being effective. This has also promoted the creation of their “Never List” to show which products will not show up in their products.

Below are the five products I was given to try from Beautycounter to test on my skin:

Nourishing Cream Cleanser

Using witch hazel to tone skin and organic coconut oil and aloe for hydration, the Nourishing Cream Cleanser helps to sooth and maintain skin when it is time to remove makeup and dirt on the skin.

Nourishing Cream Exfoliator

Find you have oily skin? Using the Nourishing Cream Exfoliator two or three times a week helps to remove dirt off of skin to reveal fresh, radiant skin. Using non-abrasive jojoba beads help to sweep away dry skin in order to smooth your complexion.

Nourishing Day Cream

Not a fan of days creams that take forever to absorb into your skin or feels greasy when you apply it to your face? The Nourishing Day Cream helps to keep moisture of your skin throughout the day with antioxidant-rich acai quickly.

Nourishing Eye Cream

Does the skin around your eyes need a bit of TLC? Care for this delicate skin with the instant cooling boost you get from the Nourishing Eye Cream. Aloe and organic coconut oil are the dynamic duo that get the job done here to heal this delicate skin area.

Nourishing Night Cream

Find your face is hurting for moisture at night? The Nourishing Night Cream can help with this issue. Organic coconut oil and aloe work together to hydrate skin at night while geranium and green tea help protect skin against dryness.

From start to finish, I really enjoyed using products from the Nourishing Collection from Beautycounter. Each product has a light scent that was fresh. It made the task of washing my face a little sunnier than usual.

The Nourishing Cleanser and Exfoliator both easy to use. All I had to do was apply them to my skin and then wash off with water. I am not usually a fan of exfoliators that use micro beads to help peel away dry skin, but the jojoba beads got the job done without doing damage to my skin and washed away well.  Another fab aspect to these cleansers was that they did not feel a film on my skin. All I had to do was pat my face dry. It felt refreshed and smoother than it did before I had used them.

The Nourishing Eye Cream, Day Cream and the Night Cream were great to use. Once I removed the cap to each of these products and applied them to my skin, I took in their fresh, light scents. I also loved that it did not take too much product to cover the areas each cream was intended for.

One of my favourite results had to be the feel of my skin after using these products. I kept touching my face because it felt so soft and smooth. It also looked brighter. Knowing that my skin looked and felt good, it made my day knowing that I do not need to use makeup to look fabulous. I also did not feel the tugging and pulling on my face when a moisturizer I used on it has dried out a few hours later. It felt moisturized around the clock.

I am so happy to have tried products from Beautycounter’s Nourishing Collection. Knowing my face looks and feel good without the use of harsh chemicals is a huge weight off of my shoulders. I cannot wait to try more of their products for my skin as well as cosmetics to enhance my looks.
