Be Well Worn This Winter with Mark’s

Winter. With everything blanketed in fluffy white snow, it is such a beautiful time of the year. It can also prove to be one of the more worrisome ones. Wet and cold weather can create slippery conditions for us to have to venture out in, causing a few slips and falls. Mark’s wants to help keep us upright this more often this winter with the boots they have on hand.
They asked me if I would like to get a sneak peek at a few of their slip-resistant boots to help avoid slips and to be #WellWorn this season. I was so happy to have the opportunity to do so!
What does being well worn mean for Mark’s? It is for people who are themselves. They are confident, determined and give their all to the task at hand. It is for people who work hard but also like to play hard as well. I believe that these qualities are in all of us, and we deserve to have apparel that fits our personalities.
Mark’s wants this for those who choose to wear their clothing and they stand behind the values their clothing represents and wants more people to get a look at what they have to offer.
I love winter, but I am not a fan of the freezing cold temperatures that comes along with it. Venturing outside on the sidewalks when they are not thoroughly salted and sanded is like skating on a skating rink. The boots that Mark’s shared with me will help be become more confident on slippery surfaces this season.
I tried on a pair of Sperry Powder Arctic Grip winter boots. This pair of boots was inspired by the iconic Moon-boot. Here are some of the details that these cute boots feature:
- Seam-sealed waterproof suede uppers
- Removable insole with arch support
- Leather midsole
- Durable rubber outsoles by Vibram® feature Polar-Ice Grip
- Lace-Up style boots
What is Vibram® Arctic Grip? It provides traction on wet and slippery surfaces. On the bottom of each boot featuring Vibram® Arctic Grip is a thermochromatic lug that changes colour to signal icy conditions.
From the moment I slipped them on, my feet felt warm and cosy.
I’m slipping on these Women’s Powder Arctic Grip Winter Boots from @markscanada #PlaceDOrleans! The Thinsulate™ faux fur lining felt luxurious. There was also enough room across the balls of my feet so they did not feel cramped. After lacing up these boots, they were comfortable to walk in. They did not feel as though they were heavy, and the supports were an added bonus.
I was introduced to three other boots that Mark’s has that can help people avoid slips on icy surfaces this winter.
The Merrell Men’s Overlook Arctic Grip winter boots have Arctic Grip outsoles that help to improve traction on wet rocks and uneven terrain while hiking.
The WindRiver Women’s Cascade Winter Boots and the WindRiver Jasper winter boots both feature the Tarantula Anti-Slip™ On Ice with Green Diamond grip that gives increased traction in order to be able to walk on wet ice easier.
After taking my Sperry Powder Arctic Grip winter boots home, I could not wait for a good snow fall in order to see what they would be like to wear outdoors. I had to run some errands around my home, and these boots were great to wear! I had a lot more confidence when walking around on slick surfaces. They were also fun to play in. I had no trouble switching from walking to running on a moment’s notice.
I also had to test them out in the snow. Besides seeing and feeling the snow around my feet, my toes were completely warm and toasty. They also give your winter a trim, chic look. I am so happy to be able to sport them to get me through the season!
